Bleed extends beyond the trim. Safe inset sits inside it. Use your printer’s specifications; these defaults are examples.

Faded, hatched image outside the canvas is cropped. The amber bleed band is removed at trim. Crop alignment changes which edges are kept without changing PPI or total crop. Recreate the chosen placement in your image editor; no image is exported. Crop percentages exclude the additional bleed trimmed away. Fit mode may leave unprinted margins and cannot guarantee edge-to-edge artwork. PPI describes pixel density, not printer DPI or a guarantee of sharpness.
